Bhaktapur: Dennis Cummins, an international leadership expert and businessman, has launched his book ‘Built or Broken’ during the Leadership Conference 2026 held in Bhaktapur.
Speaking at a press conference following the launch, Cummins said leadership can take an institution, society or nation toward development, while poor leadership can lead to weakness and breakdown. He said leadership is not merely about position, influence or popularity, but is closely linked to responsibility, discipline, sound decision-making and accountability.
Cummins emphasized the need for young people to develop a deeper understanding of leadership. He said Built or Broken would be useful for those seeking to strengthen their leadership skills. He also stressed the importance of leaders regularly assessing the impact of their actions on institutions, communities and society.
The conference, organized by Hearts for Nepal Foundation, was attended by more than 300 young businesspeople, entrepreneurs, leaders and representatives from the social sector. The event featured training and discussions on leadership development, decision-making, discipline, accountability, institutional development and the effective use of artificial intelligence (AI).
